Mr. Steve Redmond - Delta Trigen, LLC - Biographical Sketch


Steve Redmond wrote a winning EPSCoR grant proposal in 2011 on behalf of Delta Trigen, LLC, the logistical arm of Omega Optical's Delta Campus complex in Brattleboro Vermont.

Steve was the principal investigator for the project which examined the feasibility using Russian comfrey, a plant, to remediate waste produced by an experimental whey digester. The digester converts dairy waste into fuel.

Steve has worked for Omega Optical since 2004 where he served as a senior manager at Omega, holding positions at different times as director of software development, and engineering manager.

Before joining Omega, Steve worked as a documentation specialist for Altair Avionics, a division of Pratt & Whitney, Canada, and as a technical support analyst and technical writer for Quality Systems International, an ISO 9001 software development firm in Lexington, Massachusetts.

As a writer, Steve was a featured columnist for WoodenBoat magazine for three years and is a former newspaper reporter. His writing has appeared in Yankee magazine.

Steve owned and operated a boatshop in Burlington on Pine Street in the late 70's.
