Invitation to attend the University of Vermont's Climate Symposium, Thursday, September 25, 2014

You are invited to join faculty from UVM, Saint Michael's College and Middlebury College to a Climate Symposium on Thursday September 25th 2014. Faculty from these institutions, along with their respective Community and University Partnerships in Service-Learning (CUPS) representatives, will meet for a day-long conference to discuss elevating climate change literacy in undergraduate courses, particularly those that are designated as Service-Learning classes.

Over the past year, faculty members from these institutions have participated in an EPA-funded effort to integrate climate literacy and environmental stewardship into Service-Learning classes. Through a series of short presentations and small group discussions, we would like to share our experiences, findings and teaching strategies. In addition, Dr. Cameron Wake (University of New Hampshire) will give the keynote address.

This conference is an important launching pad for the greater University discussion of integrated undergraduate education under the Envisioning Environment umbrella. We look forward to having you join us for this important event. The event and registration is free. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
