VT EPSCoR Visits the Vermont State House

   
On May 7th, 2013, Vermont EPSCoR staff  members Patrick Clemins and Miranda Lescaze visited the Vermont State House.  The purpose of their visit was to educate and update legislators about VT EPSCoR programs.  Legislators from around the state stopped by to learn about RACC research and CWDD outreach programs for middle school teachers, high schools, undergraduates including disabled and military veterans.

  • Research on Adaptation to Climate Change (RACC) focuses on the interaction of climate change and land use alter hydrological processes and nutrient transport from the landscape, internal processing and eutrophic state within the lake and what are the implications for adaptive management strategies. For more information visit: http://www.uvm.edu/epscor/racc The Center for Workforce Development and Diversity (CWDD) recognizes the increasing importance of cultivating and preparing a diverse science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and social science workforce in Vermont and providing research opportunities for meritorious high school, undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing these areas of study. The CWDD works to inspire students to enter STEM careers and to increase the diversity of people, institutions, and disciplines engaged in VT EPSCoR programs. The CWDD helps connect interested students in social science and STEM areas with faculty throughout Vermont at multiple institutions and companies.
