Alan Betts Provides Keynote Speech at 2018 Global Energy and Water Exchanges Open Science Conference

Vermont EPSCoR researcher Alan Betts, PhD attended the 2018 Global Energy and Water Exchanges (GEWEX) Open Science Conference in Canmore, Alberta, Canada from May 6th through May 11th, 2018. The theme of this year’s conference was “Extremes and Water on the Edge.”

Approximately 200 scientists from across the world attended this conference, which was coordinated by the World Climate Research Program (WCRP). Dr. Betts served as the keynote speaker prior to the conference’s banquet, which reviewed some of his ongoing research in the Lake Champlain basin, issued future challenges, and sought to inspire early career scientists in attendance.
