On 8/31/2019, he became a BREE Research Affiliate and an Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My research focuses on adaptability and resilience in complex, coupled human and natural systems. I conduct my research on human-environment interactions primarily by creating and coupling spatially-explicit agent-based models with problem-specific biophysical models. My interests lie in the complex interactions and feedback mechanisms between individuals and their environments that lead to system-scale and context-dependent resilience. |
