We welcomed 11 high school teachers and 19 high school students to Saint Michael's College from July 28th through 31st for the 2014 Leaves of Green Workshop.

Teams worked to learn how photosynthesis and long distance transport systems are integrated in plants and why photosynthesis and carbon partitioning are integral to biofuel production and agriculture. Teams also learned to measure photosynthesis in different species, sugar transport and storage in plants, and the energy value of a plant and how it is affected by genes and environmental conditions.
