RACC PhD Student Peter Isles Awarded GLEON Travel Grant

RACC PhD Student Peter Isles was awarded a GLEON travel grant, which will enable him to participate in GLEON’s annual meeting in Chuncheon, South Korea. Travel funding will be provided by the SAFER project (Sensing the Americas’ Freshwater Ecosystem Risk) of the NSF SAVI (Science Across Virtual Institutes) program. His presented research (a component of his dissertation) will be on the differential responses of shallow and deep areas of Lake Champlain to dissolved and particulate nutrient inputs over the past 23 years, and the implications of this for the future nitrogen to phosphorus balance in the lake under climate change conditions.

Additional information about the GLEON conference can be seen at the GLEON Website.
