Webinar: How to Make Effective Academic Posters - October 21, 2020
Mike Morrison, creator of the #betterposter movement, will offer a webinar on October 21, 2020 to help scientists around the world revolutionize the way they present posters to their colleagues.
The presentation, "Making Effective Academic Posters: the #betterposter Approach," will take place at 2:00 PM EST (12:00 PM MT), and will discuss the flaws in the existing standard for scientific posters, which has remained largely unchanged for decades. In the webinar, Mr. Morrison will present evidence-based design principles that scientists can apply to both traditional and virtual posters to better convey their information.
Mr. Morrison is a PhD candidate in the field of Work Psychology at Michigan State University. His #betterposter movement focuses on presenting scientific posters that make information more digestible and findings clearer without as much space devoted to extraneous text that few people read. His movement has gained momentum since March 2019, when he introduced his new design on his YouTube channel.
