CWDD Hosts Annual High School Training Week
An online breakout rooms designed to allow connection and networking during High School Training Week.
The CWDD hosted its annual High School Training Week from June 21 to June 25, 2021 using an online platform, making this the CWDD's first remote training week.
The training covered many BREE research-focused topics and was geared toward getting the nine high school research teams up to speed for their work during the summer research season. High School Coordinator, Janel Roberge, provided guidance that covered watershed delineation, data upload, research posters, and much more.
Of the nine teams, four came from Vermont and five were from Puerto Rico offering a great opportunity for the students to network with peers from other jurisdictions. As part of the week, the CWDD hosted a College and Career Panel for high school student researchers, with three out of the four panelists being former Vermont EPSCoR High School Research Program participants themselves.
