Research funding call from Lake Champlain Sea Grant now open

Dear Representatives from UVM Colleges and Centers:

Lake Champlain Sea Grant invites proposals for research to begin February 2024. Find the request for proposals and supporting information on the Lake Champlain Sea Grant website.

The call for proposals names 12 research topics aligned with the program's vision to help Lake Champlain basin communities act to enable long-term ecosystem health and sustainable economic development. Lake Champlain Sea Grant strives to fund scientists from diverse backgrounds and achieve outcomes for diverse and underserved communities.  Please note that the research topics are related to many different disciplines.

Researchers may request up to $100,000 in federal Sea Grant funds for one-year projects or $200,000 for two-year projects to cover direct and indirect costs. Federal support must be matched with non-federal funds at the rate of $1 in non-federal matching funds for every $2 requested of federal Sea Grant funds (i.e., a 50% match). LCSG expects to fund $700,000 in research proposed in this competition.
