University of Vermont Innovations Hosted a Regional I-Corps Short Course

University of Vermont Innovations hosted a regional I-Corps short course, led by our regional Upstate New York I-Corps Node in August 2022,. The University of Vermont is a partner in the newly awarded National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Hub: Interior Northeast Region (IN I-Corps). Vermont EPSCoR sponsored a portion of the instructor fees. In this regional I-Corps short course, research teams from around Vermont received entrepreneurial training, learning how to transition their research discoveries to commercial products and services. At the completion of the short course, the research teams were encouraged to apply for the seven week, more in-depth I-Corps Teams entrepreneurship course which includes a $50,000 grant for accepted teams. The Interior Northeast I-Corps Hub will officially launch on January 1, 2023.
