Vermont Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Fair at Norwich University - March 25, 2023

Vermont EPSCoR and the Vermont STEM Fair will provide the venue for high school students to showcase research and sponsor VT STEM Fair finalists at the 2023 International Science and Engineering Fair.

The Vermont STEM Fair is an inquiry-based poster presentation competition open to all middle and high school level students in the state of Vermont. Our state fair is an exciting opportunity for aspiring scientists (grades 5-12) to showcase the results of their independent research. Each year 100+ student projects addressing all areas of science, technology, engineering and math are judged by at least three judges. Our judges include scientists, secondary education faculty, dentists, physicians, nurses, military personnel and retirees, and other individuals from science and engineering professions from across Vermont. Students compete for prizes donated by local organizations and scholarships to Vermont colleges. The fair is also affiliated with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), and eligible students contend for a chance to compete at this international competition (for information on how to compete for ISEF-related prizes, see our ISEF information page).

If you're a middle or high school educator and want some ideas on how to incorporate STEM fair projects into your curriculum, we'd be happy to help out. Please contact us if we can help.

If you're an aspiring scientist in Vermont, we hope to see you at this year's fair!
