The Membership Committee of the Vermont Academy of Science and Engineering (VASE), has elected Dr. Nicholas Gotelli to full membership. This is the highest recognition for contributions to science and engineering in the State of Vermont.
The Academy was chartered by the State of Vermont: 1) to honor scientists and engineers for their achievements, 2) to promote the interests of science and engineering within the State, 3) to educate Vermont citizens about the importance of science and engineering, and 4) to help the State of Vermont with regard to problems in science and engineering. This organization is modeled after the National Academies, to help advance these goals.
The Academy induction shall take place during the Academy’s Annual Dinner, which is scheduled for Friday October 4th at UVM.
