Dr. Patrick Clemins presents Mobile Application Projects to Computer Science Students at UVM

VT EPSCoR has proposed two Mobile Application Projects to Computer Science students at the University of Vermont. Dr. Patrick Clemins, in partnership with Dr. Christian Skalka, who is teaching CS295, presented an outline of 2 mobile phone applications for students to produce during the semester long course. These projects will complement the innovation and workforce development efforts of VT EPSCoR and enhance communications outreach.

The first app would build a mobile platform for VT EPSCoR's communications outreach efforts to the broader community including a way for scientists to access important information about the program.
The second app would create a mobile interface for the existing Vermont Macroinvertebrate Database created by the VT EPSCoR Center for Workforce Development and Diversity (VT EPSCoR CWDD) to help with the identification of numerous macroinvertebrates in Vermont waterways.
