2014-03-28 - Policy & Governance Development Focus Group Held on March 21st, 2014

Wed, 03/19/2014 - 07:53
The RACC Policy and Governance Team (Q3) has been working on developing an agent-based model of water quality management in the Lake Champlain Basin. On March 21st, the Team held its second focus group with local stakeholders to evaluate the model’s development. This focus group invited a range of representatives from Vermont’s civil society. Representatives of the Conservation Law Foundation, Lake Champlain International, Friends of the Winooski, Friends of Northern Lake Champlain, the Lintilhac Foundation, and Vermont Land Trust were able to attend. They provided a range of invaluable insights that will help the RACC Team refine an area of the model that had been underdeveloped prior to this event. All of this made for a successful event for the RACC Team in their efforts to build and validate a model that will be able to anticipate the outcomes of policy scenarios that the team will be identifying in other events.
